In my opinion, there was no better choice to open the Nowhere To Go But Up album than the song “The Race Is On, The King Is Dead.” From the opening guitar riff that repeats throughout the song to its majestic descending chord ending, this song perfectly sets the scene for the rest of the album. And, of course, there are those bells. Can’t forget the bells.
