“Low Flying Perfection,” for me, is a high point of How Do You Spell Heaven. It’s a perfect example of Robert Pollard’s more “mature” songwriting at play; but also, the dynamics between the louder and quieter parts of the song and the superb vocal harmonies make it a stand-out track on this album. Besides all that, producer Travis Harrison managed to perfectly capture a sense of vastness in this song; it sounds very wide-open, if that makes any sense, which complements Pollard’s lyric about “grand, endless space.” In today’s post, we’ll take a look at some guitar tab and chords used to play this tune.
