Appears on: How Do You Spell Heaven
Some fans have described “King 007” from How Do You Spell Heaven as having a jazz feel due to the opening chord progression. The chords go from E major to Am7, back to E major, and then to a D6, which is shown in the guitar tablature for Figure 1a below. The minor 7th chord, as well as the 6th chord, are both common jazz guitar chords, and yet don’t feel entirely out of place in this Guided By Voices song.
